Indiana water meet ups

Ok I thought I'd start this thread for meet ups on Indiana waters. Guess it will likely languish for a few months while we snowmobile over the winter.
We're going to Patoka Lake this weekend to help celebrate some friends' anniversary, probably be the last boating of the season.
Any TT'ers in the area?

Any IN meet-ups next summer I would be interested in.

I am in Indy in Broad Ripple. I just found out there was a ramp in BR park. I won;t have the boat up this year, but I am always down to provide gas money.

We made it to Raccoon weekend before labor day. Have friends out there.
That's why I wanted to start this thread so we could all maybe post where we will be and hopefully meet up with other TT'ers!!

I dont live to far from Patoka at all. Wish I could me up w/ some other MC's but mine went down on me last wknd....(Look at the thread "Please Help-X-10" it's not pretty. Do you always go to Patoka?

I live around the Carmel area. I typically go to Lake Tippecanoe on weekends, have a lake house there. We typically ski on Wednesday evening at Giest, but it is a mud pit to me.

awrobertso, this will actually be my first time at Patoka. Sorry to hear about your boat, I'll look up the thread, probably did see it though. Bummer. Hope you get it fixed.
My wife and I lived on Sweetwater lake for 16 years but needed a bigger place so now we travel. I grew up spending weekends on the Ohio river everywhere from Vevay to 18 mile Island.

Slinky, know what you mean about Geist. I hadn't been there since before all the development but we happened to check it out Sunday before last.

fstaslp, welcome. I haven't been on the river there for some time either. How is it now?
Have you skied the Lake Indy site? I remember going to the Coors Lite Pro Tour event there back in the mid 80's or so.

87PS190: Yea Patoka is kind of rough to ski/wakeboard on....I dont go there unless the river is up. You should think about coming and putting in Leavenworth, IN at the state ramp sometime. The river is perfect right now...there are so many great views, plus the water is smooth somwhere all the time(great for watersports) because of all the bends. Have a good WKND!

I'm down at "Lake Indy" quite frequently throughout the summer when the river is cooperating. IMO, it's about the only "public" water worth skiing on in the Indy area. You can have Morse and Geist, just not worth the hassle or the $$.
I say Lake Indy is public, because it doesn't have any restrictions posted at the launch. However, the course is maintained by our blue-collar ski club which is permited thru the DNR and associated with the Indy Parks Dpt. Feel free to come check us out and ski a set. www.indyskiers.com, and we're on facebook as well. Our last Thursday Night ability training series has already come and gone for the season, but the river is still very tollerable for skiing. Was out last night- I hope these warm temps strectch our season thru October!
PM me if you ever want a pull to try out our little club. I'll likely be down this weekend for a couple of hours either Saturday or Sunday depending.
I'm up for an Indiana MC reunion as well. Might be able to stage it around the same time as the IWSA State Champs this coming year, or even one of the events held at the Precedent.

I live in Fishers. We have a house on a private lake in Greensburg. If we don't head down there, we either hit Geist early morning or make the trip up to Salamonie. Haven't been to Patoka in 2 years.
