Used prices are definitely crazy. My exact truck is priced used at $5K over what I paid last year for it at a local dealer.

I get more compliments on this truck than I ever would have expected.
Thanks John! You're definitely right about the used market. Its so high it made sense to buy new as long as we found a dealer that wasn't adding a 5k or 10k "market adjustment" to MSRP. It took a week or so of looking, but we finally found one 350 miles away.

At least they are being kind and giving a $4000 discount . It is ridiculous that prices are like this.

                    Happy to hear that.

This may be my next truck. I've got a 2019 157" WB and it's a surprising truck. I did find the stock suspension a little weak for my liking, so I swapped nearly all components at about 5,000 miles. Tremendous difference in all aspects. It rides a little more firm while providing a more confident ride with less body roll and mitigated rear end washout on rough dirt roads.

What did you put on all four corners? I’ve noticed the same.

Agreed, I looked at some Trail Boss's before finding a great deal on mine.

I bought mine right after Thanksgiving and feel like I was the last person in America that got a great deal on a new truck. A few weeks ago, I was offered $11k more than I bought it for...and I have 14k miles on it already.

I bought mine in April of 2020 - early Covid. There were only 3 employees at the dealer in-person. I got a good deal, and apparently so did they - the sales manager had her boyfriend buy my '16 All Terrain X with a whopping 25K miles. I only have 11K on mine - I'd sell it in a second if I were offered 11K over asking. In hindsight I wish I kept that truck. I definitely didn't need the new one.

                              • Question for those of you who have bought a new vehicle recently. I know several on here have and Aric buys new ones all the time. I’m trying to decide to trade in my truck on a new one or wait until things calm down. Only reason is just the crazy money you can get for used trucks right now. Just not sure if that amount is going to outweigh paying msrp or close to it on a new truck. I’ve got a 2017 Silverado 2500 LTZ Duramax and the dealership offered me 47k for it. I bought it 3 years ago with 3000 miles for 55k which was a great deal then so it seems like a great deal now to sell it. I’ve put 106,000 miles on it. Looking at a 2021 GMC 2500 AT4 with the duramax and they aren’t coming off the msrp much if any. Just wondering if I’m better off to keep what I’ve got and trade when things calm down. Obviously I would get less for my trade later but should be able to get a better deal on a new one. Just not sure which route to take. Thought I’d ask those of you who have traded recently what you thought.
