                    • Congrats Dave. I had 2 Avy's over 12 years ('03 for 2 years and '05 for 10 years.) Your new truck is awesome. LMK when you start to miss the Avalanche. I had a '15 Silverado, then a '16 Sierrat ATX, then a 2020 Sierra AT4. And wish I'd have kept the Avalanche the whole time. What'd you do with yours? I'd have bought it if I'd known you were trading or selling. (Or did you keep it)

Now that that is all over with, congrats again, this new truck is definitely you!

                      • John,

The Avalanche will be on the market very soon. I've been traveling and figured I better be around when I list it.

How's that G-Wagon towing it? I'd think it'd be a good tow vehicle, despite the short wheelbase. But I got some pushback when I suggested that here and on another forum. Love the rig and the boat.

People don't seem to understand that the short rear overhang really helps with stability. Also a boat is much less likely to sway due to crosswinds and is inherently more stable due to a longer length from tongue to axle as compared to an RV trailer of equivalent size.

The only thing with shorter wheelbases is if you ever have to stop quickly, you have an increased chance that the trailer would come around on you.
