Have any of you guts checked out Waketrix at Waketrix.com.
Looks to be a great DVD for learning the basics.
Any other suggestions?

It's a dated now, but the "Detention" video is pretty good. You might be able to find it second hand on ebay..
2002 MariStar 210 VRS 330hp, Tower, Perfect Pass Stargazer, Bimini, Triple KGB Ballast, 400w Clarion XMD3, Bennett X-14 Wake Plate, 1000+ hours and still running great!
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pristine, well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "-- WOW--What a Ride!"
I second that ... Detention was my favorite back in the day (I still have the VCR tapes) - you can catch the DVD now though. I still look back at it and let friends borrow it to help visualize their tricks. Their are some not so desireable skits in there but the trick line up is great.

I'm pursuing my lifelong quest for the perfect, the absolutely driest martini to be found in this or any other world. And I think I may have hit upon the perfect formula :
'Higher Education Vol 1' is one I show alot of novices when they start, it moves pretty fast into more advanced tricks, but does cover the basics as well.
Also 'Class in Session', is quite a few years old now, but great for starters.
Grab "The Book" on DVD. I just started Wakeboarding this year and i have already advanced beyond my friends because of the exercises and instruction from this DVD (probably has something to do with the fact that I can slalom and my friends can't - I think knowing how to slalom gives me an advantage when it comes to edging...).
"The Book" is actually a set of 5 DVDs that sell for somewhere around $30 each, but you could probably pick up all 5 for somewhere around $70 on eBay, just keep looking. You can also check out their website for some previews of each disk (just google it - you'll find it).
