  • Purchasing Wakeboarding Equipment

Can anyone point in the right direction?

I'm looking for an on-line sight to purchase wakeboarding equipment, etc.

Twenty years ago, the only place like that was Overton's (catalog sales only of course). Are there any better web sites than this keeping in mind price, selection, and service? Thanks....

Welcome to Team Talk. Depending on where you are in the Midwest, you might be close to The House Boardshop. They are right in St. Paul and have a huge outlet center with some serious discounts. They ship as well if you aren't local.

Barts is pretty good. Ski it again for used stuff
Lots of power is good, more is better, too much is just right.

Looking to save more money, check out EBAY. Thats where I started and got my original wakeboard, kneeboard, barefoot boom, etc. from there. Saved me a ton of money.
If its not a competition ski boat, its always second best.

I think the 135 is a little short for me

Many factors go into deciding what board works for you. I am your same size and ride boards from 135 to 141. Your skill level, boat speed, wake size, and style of riding all make a big difference.

Assuming you are a beginner, I suggest a board between 136 and 140 cm. I would go with a continuous rocker or "hybrid"/"Subtle 3-stage" rocker board as they tend to be more predictable.

Lots of good choices. The Liquid Force Witness 140 would be an excellent choice.
