  • 2002 X-30 Goofy Wave

    2002 X-30
    750lbs in each rear locker
Stock KGB Full + 2 big guys in the front
    Knock off Wake-Shaper

This is my second weekend out with this setup. The first try I had the wake-shaper a little low so I drilled a few more holes in the paddle and moved it up almost 2 inches. I think the wave has way more push with the wake shaper vs listed. I'm not very good but thrilled to be surfing ropeless.

Nice! I need to start building a ghetto surf gate for my 205 like I had on my old boat. Makes all the difference!

Wow, that looks great. What does you "knock off Wake Shaper" look like?

Pictures and plans please, I have same hull I believe with a 2004? Sending you a PM. That looks like a great goofy side wake to me.

Sorry these pics are all I got on my phone at the moment. I'll take some more tonight. I built the whole thing from my old driver side kick panel that the sub woofer used to sit in.

Here is a basic template of the back plate. I started with cardboard then made it in wood. Then once I felt like the design was good I transferred it to the star-board.

                  Dax,

Which 205 do you have? DD or V? Do you ride regular or goofy? I have a beautiful "wake Gate" artfully constructed by a member here that he built for me. Turned out my DD platform was different than his V drive from the same year(I had no idea) so it would not fit my boat. It is built for 205V starboard side install for surfing port side. Let me know if it fits your needs. Maybe we can work something out.

Same hull here as well MEMMER99. Looks a lot cleaner than what I'm running. Guess it's time to build a ghetto gate. I was wondering what it would do to the Maristar hull and am glad it turned out well. Nice job! Wonder what the difference would be from the fiberglass platform vs wood platform would do for measurement purposes

Might be a list of people interested in that-pm me with details if Dax is not interested.
