P5 got back to me today. here is their recommendation:

I would check out the Phantom 57 for a surf style board

and I would look at the Diamond Turbo 54 for a skim style board.

We ride Phantoms for surf-style, and have all three sizes. 5 different people we either taught to surf, or taught to surf better on ours have purchased them for themselves. You cannot go wrong with a Phantom. You will love it. I think P5 has Blems on their site right now for $100 off

Find a dealer that will DEMO boards for you. Most dealers will charge a $100-200 deposit that will go towards the purchase of your board. Don't cheep out you will spend more money on the short long run LOL.

For better or worse I decided on the Falcon. Ended up getting a good deal on it.

It was packaged extremely well. The outside box was beat up and ripped up but the board was just fine.

Once you try it out can you please let me know what you think. I have used the Neo, Nubstep, and Bandwagon, and I would like to hear how this one is.

Got up on the boom but struggled getting up on the rope. Planning to make this a focus this year
