Where can I get a Windshield for a 1992 Prostar 190?

Someone hit my neighbors boat and took out the driver's side piece of the Windshield. It's a 1992 Prostar 190.

Does ANYONE know where we can get a replacement piece for this?

MC corporate said they do not make replacements for that year and they do not have the drawings to have one made up.

So I'm open to score 1 from a MC boneyard (if such a thing exists) OR get one made up, if anyone knows where.

He doesn't want to put fiberglass in it's place b/c this boat is still in GREAT condition.

You are out of luck with the OEM replacement from Taylor as I understand it.

In the "aftermarket parts" thread of the FAQ (see my signature), there is a link to a company that may be able to help you. If I recall, your friend may have to send them the frame though. Good luck.

Related Question - attaching windshield

I have an '89 Tristar walk-thru. The drivers side windshield has come loose - the screws are missing to the bracket that holds the windshield to the dashboard. I removed the carpet panel below the dashboard, but couldn't reach the underside of where the bracket attaches. Does anyone know how to repair this? Does it use a bolt? If so, how do I reach in there to get a nut on it? Any advice would be appreciated.

They are through bolted. I tightened mine up this spring. Take out the foam insulation at the bottom of the glass and have someone hold the bolt heads. You have to crawl under the dash and put the nuts on. I double nutted all of mine and put new lock washers on as well.

Thanks for the input - that helps. This is just the bracket arm that comes down from the windshield - when I took off the carpet panel, I couldn't seem to get to where the bolts would come through. I'll try again (hopefully by this weekend) now that I'm sure they're through bolts and that I should be able to reach them.
