I'll have to track down the receipt but I got it for a steal! Maybe like $4.50/bft
I bought it from Woodcraft...their teak was kind of knotty and just ok, but when I was digging I came across some pristine pieces of tight grained teak...the problem was, it was from a scrapped yacht project and they were all curved...lots of waste and some serious track sawing later I had all the wood I needed...couldn't have worked out any better...only spent about 200 on all the wood

I got my platform sanded over the past few evenings, do you think it needs more? I have used teak oil, and sickens on past boats, but am going to give the linseed oil a shot this time around. Foam or bristle brush, I've always used bristle in the past. The finished platform is from my 92 205 I sold last summer, three coats of sickens... thought you might like some teak porn.

Went to mix up the mineral spirits and linseed oil to apply to my platform for the year and mistakenly mixed the exact opposite (75 mineral/25 linseed) DAMN that was last of my linseed! I applied it anyway, we'll see how it looks in a few days...OH-IO!

Went back about 10-12 pages and have not seen any comments to answer my question. I am sure it is there, so forgive me for asking but getting ready to refinish mine and wonder about power washing? In years past have just sanded and it comes out pretty nice. This time I have done not much for 2 years and she is pretty dry. Shall I sand again, or give it a power wash, then sand? Thanks"One foot in the grave, one foot on the pedal, I was born a rebel" Petty
