I did the 12 inch JL IB sub in factory location on a '13 x25. My pictures are the second install in that thread linked a couple times. I powered it with a kicker cxa1200.1. ITs a substantial difference and worth the work and money for that sub. The 10 inch IB with the stock power is useless compared to the 12 inch with decent power in the same location. I didn't have to move the barrier that seperates the cooler from the sub, but if you do have to for other model boats Im sure its no problem. Its just two screws. I have 2 Wetsounds XXX in the observers compartment and it surprised my how much the 12 inch IB sub puts out even with the XXX's playing as well. (thats with the observers compartment open too for the comparison).
Don't assume that since it fits in an x25 that it will fit in every model. The x25 has an extra raised portion to give it more room. The x2 doesn't have that and I'm pretty sure it won't fit. I looked pretty hard at doing it. It also looks like the xt22 has the adjustable recliner back and looks like it might not fit there either.

No assumption made, I saw on my X2 that there isn't much room available with the 10. I also noticed the X25 has the step up for the back rest. I'm looking past a easy direct swap, looking at doing a little modification to make it work. Haven't figured a path yet, but I will come up with something. Plan B is to install under the helm.
From my calculations I can make it work, I would have to trim the bezel of the speaker some, which wouldn't affect performance, but it depends on how devoted/ lazy I am at the time whether or not I go that route.
