We are in the process of order a 2021 NXT22 and not sure if I should add 2 factory S70 cans to the tower or not. I am considering ordering the boat with no tower speakers then doing an audio upgrade(additional amp & tower speakers) possibly in a year or two later. I have started reading through quite a few posts on people upgrading their tower speakers so thinking I could end up saving some money. One worry I have is I am not sure if I order the tower without speakers if it will come prewired for future speakers or not. Any advice or wisdom is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I would consider ordering base stereo, or no stereo. If you can pull off no stereo you can build it right and have opportunities to easily expand later. If music is not critical go for the advanced audio, it's decent include at least 2 tower speakers. Honestly the little s70s looks a little goofy up there. I bought my 18 NXT22 with just the base Klipsch audio (actually wish it had none) and added (2) tower cans later; my tower was pre-wired for all (4) factory mounting spots and labeled nicely for easy install. Adding an aftermarket amp is doable on boats with base audio (head unit only, use a line-level out converter to new amp) and with advanced audio packages w/DPS (order special 6-pin to RCA from eecyclone here on the TT forum)

Awesome, thank you! As of now I have it equipped with the advanced audio package. It being a new boat I am hesitant to cut into the boat to install a subwoofer or additional speakers. I found some used tower speaker cans from a 2017 NXT (for cheap) that match the tower billet look and put in some Wetsounds REVO6 in them. Not an ideal setup for most on here looking for awesome surf volume, but it sounds great off the back while swimming. Saved me a metric S-ton of cash compared to something equal from factory and this setup even looks factory. I have REVO8’s in boat and all the speakers are powered off a Wetsounds SDX6.

The “out” stands for outside pair, the inside pair are also tucked up behind the stand-off puck.
