2011 X-15 Ballast Empty-How it works

Hi All,

Just a quick question on where my ballast tanks empty. Currently there is a line that goes from the bottom of the boat (inlet) to the pump then from the pump to the tanks. When it empties, does it just go the opposite way out the inlet? I can't wrap my head around how the system works....

On single pump systems, the pump reverses flow to push the water back out through the same hose as used for intake.

I thought that but then I said to myself, can it be that straight forward....and I guess it is. Thanks for the quick response.
