  • 02 X30, 1100s, what next

So i just put in the 1100s in the rear lockers. the hard tanks are long gone and there is a jabsco puppy feeding each rear separately and one for the OEM ski locker bag. i pulled out the 2 750s and i'm looking for opinions on what to do with them. when i bought the 1100s, i bought the "kit" so it came with a new 12v pump and all the plugs, hose, etc., so i basically have a full 750 x 2 kit from wakemakers. my first thought was to run just one of the 750s in the bow off the 12v pump when we are surfing/boarding. obviously, this will take up seating and not look as "clean". does anyone have experience with any bow under seat bags in an OG X30? thanks for any opinions/advice.

jafo, are you interested in selling the 750 kit to fellow TT member. I have an 04 230 VRS with the X-package and have been thinking of upgrading my ballast to boost the surf wake??

not ready to sell yet. since i don't have an under the seat solution for bow ballast, i'll probably have to use at least one of the 750s and the 12v pump for now. if i find a reasonable alternative and am ready to sell, i'll let you know.

I just did it for my 2002 X-30 and it works surprisingly well even with 3/4. I also had removed the ballast manifold this summer and went with dedicated thru-hull fittings, green impellers and polished pump heads. The entire 400lb KGB and standard wakemakers IBS setup can fill in 8 minutes. Its also cool to know the IBS is full by just looking at the bow seat cushions lift up.

I also just ordered from lead wake.com 400lbs of lead to move from port side to starboard side and to the bow for waterskiing.

Here's my wake with just me and without the 400lbs of lead. You may also notice how quiet it is because I had just installed a FAE.

that looks good. so did you buy a kit or a custom job from wakemakers for the bow sacks. do they piggy back off the KGB? also, what are you running in the rear? thanks.

How did you fit 1,100 lb sacs in each rear locker? I've got 750s and its tight. I took the hard tanks out long ago.

I can't run the IBS because my 3 vent heater is under the starboard side bow cushion.

Getting rid of the manifold is the best modification you can do to that ballest system and plumb each pump direct with its own line.

i haven't had a chance to fill the 1100's, but from my research, they won't fill all the way. should be fun to see them fill up the locker.

Prostar205: Mine fill all the way without problem...I do have to empty out the compartment though. The video also has your old FAE installed too. Couldn't be more happy with it, the guy from FAE said that they now make one for BigBlocks....
