  • JABSCO ballast pump - Replace with what?

I've got voltage to my ballast pump at the connector and it's not pumping. With that being said, I'm assuming it needs to be replaced. The model is 18670-6721 and I see several other models on line. Is there anything else I need to check before replacing? If not, what models can I use?

Take it apart first and see if you can clean it up and get it working again:

Thanks for the link and I'm going to remove it later today and see if I can get it working. Can you test the pump on the bench without damaging it?

Yes, connect it to a 12v car battery and it will run.

Would the Jabsco Ballast King be better than the Puppy? It takes my puppy forever to fill my KGB and wakemakers add-on bow kit.

I took the pump completely apart and cleaned the contacts. It will now run on a Battery. I’m going to plug it back into the boat wiring and see what happens. I’ll ley everyone know if it corrects the problem.

I learned a valuable lesson and should have swapped plugs out before removing. The pump did NOT work when I plugged it back up. I took the plug from another pump and hooked it up and it worked fine. The connector shows 12.5 on the plug that does not work. Could it be the relay and not allowing enough current to flow?
