  • 2002 X-star Ballast Diagram?

    Last year I installed some ballast bags in place of my factory ballast tanks. I kept all the factory plumbing, and only changed the setup after the pumps.

    I'm losing my bag inventory due to siphoning out of the pumps.

    I don't know the flow path from the thru-hull to the pump and then the flow path for the drain.

    Would anyone have a diagram of how the 02's came plumbed?

    I believe 2002 went to the reversible pumps, so your fill is also your drain. Are you losing water out of the rear bags only, or front and rear?

      If it’s reversible pumps and you’re losing water from the bags, try replacing the impeller. You can find an impeller from WakeMakers.com

        I don't have a diagram, but the incoming water goes through a check valve to prevent water from going back out. That's why when you empty it goes out the overflow through the side of the hull. I believe all three pumps go back to a single manifold.

              This is the setup i have. For the manifold, is it literally just a box with all the connections? When emptying one tank will water flow from both exits?

                Correct,
                The manifold is just a PVC box with hose bibs attached. When you empty, the fill check valves will close and water will evacuate through the two gunnel ports (starboard and port).

                If you ever have trouble filling/emptying, the check valves are your likely culprits.
