Hello everyone! I bought a maristar a few months ago since I've done a little work to it (repacked the shaft and rudder, new prop, bildge, and mufflers) after I did all the maintance I took it out on the water and the boat wouldn't shut off.... I had to pull the fuel Injector off to starve the engine of fuel. I replaced the ignition and I can turn the key "off" and the boat will still run? I have no clue what it could be? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

Well, you have an issue with the wiring on the ignition you replaced. I would bet it is a ground wire.
I've only seen this happen one time. It was caused by the ground wire/cable on the second, house, battery being left off. It would start but would not turn off. I assume it has something to do with the ground at your helm or at the ignition itself.-Tim
