Need new dist cap and rotor

Need a replacement dist cap and rotor for a
2002 X10
5.7L Indmar 335hrs
Part # on it now says mc81-556086 can't find it. Can I get one from a local auto store or should I go to boat shop? Thanks for the help.

I need a bit more information, do you have the 330 LTR or the 310 Predator?

That's a Mastercraft number- the parts stores don't have a cross-reference for those.

Tell them you have a 5.7L Chevy engine- they'll want specifics, but just tell them it's the one with the internal IC module with two plugs. When I worked on MC and other boats, I used Borg Warner Gold Series caps & rotors, partially because they came with lifetime warranty. The other reason is that the posts lasted a lot longer than the cheap ones I had seen over the years. I also used the same on my own pickup and only needed to replace it once after I began to have some cross-fire issues. I bought mine at O'Reilley.
