  • Are Chevy 350's found in Mastercrafts standard or reverse rotation?

    Trying the rebuild the clubs boat and I was wondering if they are standard or reverse rotation.....anyone know?

    what rotation prop do you have on your boat? They are either or some or RH some are LH i believe

      Good call! Why didnt I think of that!

      Potential problem:

      Lets say the boat/tranny/prop we have is standard.....what are the chances our donor motor is the opposite? We got the donor motor from a i/o cutty cabin boat.

        will your tranny hook up to it? pm engine nut he will beable to tell you everything and anything you need to know

          im not sure if the tranny will say, but he will know or someone with ALOT more knowledge then me will know

            Standard rotation. Look at the tab with the timing marks- BTDC is above the zero.

                    If the donor motor came from a sterndrive application it is a standard, counterclockwise rotation engine. GM Used to build right hand rotation engines but they are no longer available as production items. The advent of marine transmissions and sterndrives that can live up to full power in forward or reverse eliminated the need. We still build a few RH engines that are used for repowers in some older boats.
