    • I don't think that the 99 boats had the same module....it might not be the same pump.....
I didn't even think that there were issues until 02 for the in tank pumps????

        • Thanks to everyone that has contributed to this thread! It helped save our weekend when the fp failed. Quick trip to the auto parts store had us back on the water in short order.

          • Hi guys,

I didn't wanted to make a new thread about this, but about 2 weeks ago there is a strange buzzing sound coming from the engine compartment from our Mastercraft Maristar from 1994.

I'm guessing its the fuel pump, but not sure. It is this part:

When going over 3000 rpm the boat just stops.

            • Is there any one thread that completely covers replacing the fuel pump within the module?

I failed all effing day today and I'm half tempted to go buy a Mastercraft assembly!

              • Try 'fuel pump 101'
I am on my phone or would find it for you.
                Be excellent to one another.

                • This one and another called fuel pump 101 are all you need. Don't buy the mc one or you'll be here again in a few years. What trouble are you having?

                  • All of these pumps are physically smaller than mine and internal bracket will not support them?

                    I have a 01 330hp Indmar X10.

                    Thanks for any help!

You must have the same problem as post 252 above. Maybe contact that guy and see what he did. You must an have older system than what is discussed in all these threads. My guess is that the 01 X10 is based on the 210 which existed much earlier than 2001 when the small pumps showed up in the boats that were actually introduced new in 01 like PS 209/X9 and PS Evos, which have much shallower draft and therefore much shallower fuel tanks and a new pump system with a smaller pump. Just a guess. Sorry, no help on what to do when replacing a pump other than what is discuss on here.

                        • I ended up buying the entire fuel module w/new gasket from Rambo Marine $482.88 w/shipping. Works great but think my real problem was a clogged transmission cooler water inlet line.

Still trying to figure out what the replacement Carter pump is and where to get it. The only info I can find on the internet is it was designed in a Chrysler "Otto-Cycle" engine and used on a 94-96 Dodge Ram Pickup, engine family RCR5.988GAJA

Got the info by searching on #52018056 and finding a 1994 Air Resources Board Supplemental Data Sheet.

                          • Brian, one thing to consider is that maybe it isn't your pump since it seems to be out of the series of problem pumps. Have you tested voltage at pump, tested fuel pressure, etc?

                            • Fuel Pump

Thanks to all on here that have provided fuel pump replacement info. for MC pumps.
After scanning through 19 pages of very useful information I started searching prices on the 3 pumps most people seam to be having good luck with and ended up purchasing two of the E2065 pumps from RockAuto. Seams that one of their wholesalers is having a closeout on this particular pump and they have them marked down to 27.79 ea.
Thought I would pass this along in case someone else is in need of one or you just want one to throw in the boat just in case.

                              Cheers

                              • Well, I bought an e2065 for my '00 MariStar 230 and it's definitley wrong for my module. I have the same issue as Brian B and BallBushing.

Fortunately I don't think I have a bad fuel pump. My hose was severely kinked inside the module as others have experienced. I will replace that hose, reassemble with a new filter and hope for the best.

Here's a pic of my pump (Stamped Carter 1819C 291) next to the e2065:
