The plat plugs are still cheap at Walmart.
Small update ran the boat with the plat plugs the last 5 outings and don't notice any difference. Boat ran great through out the full rpm range.

Copper is a better conductor, but platinum lasts a lot longer. The heat range on both is the same.

Next time, save your money and stick with copper... but I wouldnt hesitate to use the platinums since youve already got them on hand.

I can't recall the specifics, but I bought the platinum tips, asked about it on here, and based on the answer, returned them for the copper plugs. Good luck.

thanks i guess i will try them now that i opened a pack i did a search on autolite's website .
for a ford 351 i think bronco and they recommend the plats .but also suggested the copper.

shouldn't they be the correct heat range . just the platinum ones would last longer .?

don't they both have copper core just different tips . oh well maybe someone else will have more input .

    cheers

From my recollection, you want to run the copper ones. The platinum will "work," but the temperature is not optimum.
