2004 x2 fuel pump

the pump on my x2 has burnt out and i was looking for an aftermarket replacement. I have seen many on here but none that specifically say they can replace the mastercraft pump P/N 155183 (which has since been replaced by the 155208) anyone have any experience with this?

Well, if you want to replace the pump itself and not the entire unit you could use either of these. I pick up the AC Delco from Napa for $70ish and just keep it in my boat.

These are replacement pumps for the in tank pumps.

Advance Auto Parts E2044

The fuel pressure on your boat should be between 55 and 62 psi from idle to WOT.

Use the first link in my other post for a how-to.

Lots of TT users have replaced the in tank pumps with these after market parts.

Repeat thanks for all the help, I've been scouring the posts for a pn to replace it. I'll be at napa in the morning. Be ready for me to be seeking more wisdom.

I will keep an eye on this, as I may have to do the same thing. Mine will not go past about 3/4 throttle without surging. I haven't tried the fuel pressure gauge just yet, but I plan to once I get the boat in the water this Spring.

There are how-tos already posted for pump replacement on here.

I would suggest testing your fuel pressure before you do the pump.

If you don't get a chance to check the pressure before we get up to Martin I'll bring my gauge with me. But I'm not sure if your boat has the schrader valve on the fuel line from the factory or not.

A stop at advance auto, an hour in the tank and a shot of starting fluid later it fired right up! Thanks for the help. I am showing only 48 psi though, is this something that will clear up once I get it in the water and run some fresh gas through it?

48 seems a little low, but I think you will be fine. The pump will pump 45 gallons per hour and I would think it's just your regulator that is keeping it at 48 psi. I would check the psi at WOT.

One thing to double check is that there are no kinks in the fuel line running from the pump to the regulator inside the tank. I believe another TT member had that issue after he changed out the pump.

All of the pumps listed are interchangeable.
