I would have thought they checked the fuel pump but I guess you never know. When quizzing them they claimed that they couldn't connect to the ecm. I vaguely remember them saying something about no spark or fuel.

LTR 330 won't start
2002 mastercraft prostar 190 with ltr 330 won't start. Had it out all last summer with no issues, and took it to a local boat shop last fall to get it winterized. I pulled it out of the shed about 3 months ago, but didn't get it out on the lake until the week before Memorial Day. I tried to start it and it cranks fine but doesn't fire. Had a full tank of gas and the battery is fully charged, and the safety lanyard is hooked up. I checked as many sensor connections and everything seem fined. I called the boat shop and they said bring it in. After two weeks sitting there at the shop they finally looked at my boat. They "were pretty sure" my mefi 4 was fried, and wanted $2500 to install a new one. I went and picked up the boat and pulled and sent the ecm to mefiburn, and they got right back to me letting me know that the ecm is just fine. I got the ecm back in the mail and have it installed again. Anybody have any ideas on what to try/check? Most of my research has shown that the crank sensor, a relay or the coil packs are the likely culprits. I don't have diacom to hook up to read any of sensors. Here in Omaha we don't have many boat shops to choose from, and I don't want to take it back to the original shop as they obviously don't have a clue.Tags: None
