I have the 8.1L in my 2002 X-30 with 640 hours on it and it had never missed a beat. Does burn a little oil - maybe a quart every 40 hours. Not too bad. Love the fact we can load 3,500 lbs of water and 6 people in it and it just goes without any bogging down.
I would not have a X-45 WITHOUT the L18 motor or the new 6.2L would be nice. Nothing less.2002, X30, L-18, Red Metal Flake (the possessed boat)
