The point of the article is about steering outboards, but the concept is the same for the torque. Notice he says “the right/starboard side lifts”. Sound familiar?
Your problem is application of horsepower and torque.

          Broken Engine Mounts

Couldn’t get into dealership before months end so I did the work myself. Installed new motor mount bushings and alignment completed. To align the motor to the prop shaft it is necessary to slide the motor to the extreme port side. This may be causing excessive leverage on the starboard mount and bushings. I will include pictures of the starboard and port transmission mounts. I was concerned that the prop shaft was bent but I was able to align the shaft to a small .0015 gap at 12 o’clock and moved flanges in opposite directions and gap was still only at the 12 o’clock position. Still planning on replacing pop shaft seal and possibly the shaft. The OEM seal mfg told me that once a shaft takes out seals that you’ll never be able to place the seal in the same place again and get it to last. Hope you all had a good 4th of July.

I wasn't aware that they put turbo v8's in any boats.

Last I knew, MC only put one SC motor in a boat. And our good buddy '03 had it in his 35th.
