  • Raw water intake valve + gaskets

Does anyone know a part number for the valve and pair of gaskets on the raw water intake. 2008 mcx.
I'm not getting any suction (put in new impeller) and this valve leaks when I turn it.

I emailed MC Parts Depot and they sent me this:

Thank you for using MCpartsdepot. Here is the valve you need.

Turns out that I can't readily separate the rest of the pieces. They seem to be sealed with something strong.
Any thoughts on how to separate those or is it ok to separate the new valve as it has gaskets instead of a sealant. The circled sections in the pic are the ones that are sealed but are gasket-ed together so I could reuse the outer circled pieces with the new valve body. Any wisdom?

Yes, you can separate the new valve at the gaskets and just replace the center section. I've done something similar with ballast inlet valves and it worked great. I think they sealed the threaded parts with 3M 5200 and you probably can't get those apart without breaking the parts.

So finally got around to doing this. Was time to get the boat out =)
And what you suggested is what I did. It's working great. I have a small drop coming out of the bottom of the female threaded piece where it threads onto the male thru-hull fitting. Because that's not really under much pressure (it's barely below the waterline) it's just a small drop. I think I could seal it with something ... open to ideas if anyone has them. TY
