I couldn't bear the cost of the $100 per pair (when I was looking), so we made them ourselves. My brother made orange one for his SN.

      • Very minor project but successful one. My subwoofer was giving off a crackling vibration and sounded blown. Almost giving up I inserted a memory foam toy tennis ball between the back of the cone and frame in the back and taped it down. For the first time since I bought the boat a yr ago I can now hear what this sound system is supposed to sound like. Yea!

Working on the MC for the next few weeks, this was my first project. I hate drilling on the 'glass this took about 2 hours but turned out very well.

              • Lots o' stuff. Re-post from my "freshening up" thread in the appearance sub-forum:

                Hey guys,

Latest update involves mostly riser mounting and hose replacement. Using all new hose clamps, gaskets and bolts along the way. Love those Trident hoses! I've actually got a lot leftover hose that I will probably be posting in the classifieds if anyone is thinking about doing the same.

Here was the top down view before.

                And after.

Port side manifold & riser before.

                And after.

                From the front.

                Starboard view.

Another issue I ran into was that the left panel containing the hour gauge and ignition switch had screws that wouldn't tighten up. Seems to be that the nuts in the back were lost, and the previous owner used wood screws. There is zero room to work back there so I came up with an alternative using drywall anchors. It works pretty well with these black #6 screws.

Push them into the existing holes...

...and fasten the screws. The previous owner told me that he thought the kill switch was an "option". I find that hard to believe. Thoughts?

Still waiting for my rails and pylon to come back from powdercoating.

                Parts replaced parts so far.

It was 35 degrees up here in Vermont this morning so I'm not feeling too rushed to finish it up, but the end is in sight.

Nice Job!!! I had the same problem with my '95 205 with the screws. I used epoxy putty to make a flange for the screw to bite into...the nuts your thinking of were inserted into the plastic and fit via I believe a sonic weld and friction. My switch panel corners were cracking so I added some trim screws with built-in washers... was thinking of popping out the rocker switches but the plastic there was starting to disintegrate as well....one day I know I will be replacing the panel and all the rocker switches...

                            • Becaue of all this talk about transom tie downs I installed a pair of Boat Buckles G2 on the trailer to secure the back of the boat and a safety chain to secure the bow..... All that I had previously was the winch strap and Boat Buddy holding the boat on the trailer.
