    • Installed my "home made" version of a flush-pro, it worked great. "Summerized" the boat and then changed the raw water impeller. Inspected the hoses and placed an order to Skidim for new wire reinforced hoses. I'll have to get a picture of my flushing kit.

      • Took it on its maiden voyage?

Just bought my first ski boat. A 2001 prostar 205v. Just a hair over 300 hours and original owner took great care of it. Went to lake berryessa to try it out and weather was perfect. Not a breeze out and, once on the main body of the lake, water was dead flat.

Boat ran flawlessly! Everything worked ( but the stereo crapped out for some reason) and not a rattle or squeak. I must say I was blown away with how solid and smooth this thing is. It looks like brand new and ran like a swiss watch.

Can't wait to the kids are home from college in a few days to take them out boarding and tubing!

        • Washed from top to bottom. Cleaned and 303'd seats, acid washed and polished and waxed hull, acid washed and sanded and oiled teak.

                  • I didn't do any of my own work, but I drove 8 hrs to Dallas and dropped it of with Dave and his boys at Earmark to have a bunch of stuff done.

                    • Busy day - installed a support under the rear bench, 2 new pop up cleats, and wake watchers on the dock, then put her to work trying to learn deep water starts on slalom.

                            • Read a ton of threads on thermostats when I had a starting issue on the water...that only happened once..then it did not happen again...I hate when cars or boats to something flaky and never do it again...

                              • Finished waxing the hull. Just have the top to do now. A few small things left to do in the next couple of weeks: figure out why nav/running lights don't work, check/replace/bypass heater core- think I have a small leak there. I'm also thinking about replacing the mechanical fuel pump with an electric pump- might have an issue with fuel delivery. Last thing would be replace the stereo head unit. It powers up, but no sound- I assume corrosion has gotten to it.
