Took the 4160 carb off the boat after 33 years of service and had a great carb guy refurb for me, was in need of service. Reinstalled tonight and the 351 fired right up, sounded great and looking forward getting in the water this weekend.

At Bullards we are usually tucked back in house boat cove backed in to shore 25 foot blue and white Cruisers Inc. 40 miles? Do you live in Lincoln or Marysville? Those houses in your tow rig post look familier. Sorry for the thread Jack. I am in New Mexico for work nothing done to the Mastercraft Today but I need to find out why my tweeters stopped tweeting when I get back to CA. Anyone Ski in New Mexico? I saw a Prostar on the highway last month.
Performed a shaft alignment on the v-dirve last night. It was my first time so I hope I did a good job. I'll find out if I did not when I take the boat out tomorrow. Seemed fairly easy to do.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, Wow! What a Ride! ~~ Hunter S. Thompson

Stargazer and depth finder arrived, both installed today took about 2 hours to do both. Heading out tomorrow and will finish the last project of replacing the trailer bunk carpet, which also arrived today. Also will epoxy transducer after making sure it reads at speed.
The stargazer install was SIMPLE! One piece of advice not in the install manual. Remove the knob on the controller with an Allen key, then loosen the cable nut atttachment, install the hex nut at the throttle arm then reattach, other wise the cable/ string will twist. I am also keeping the original throttle cables ball joint removed on the boat in the event something breaks I can go back to original setup.....we were stranded once with the pp cable breaking on a lq9 engine and had to manually throttle slowly back home...
Finally installed the Pertronix Ignitor II electronic ignition and Flamethrower II coil. Made a small adjustment to the timing. What a huge difference. Can't wait to get her out on the water.

Added 4 polk db651's to replace the factory clarions in the hull. Can't believe how much better these sound than stock!!! Easily the best $120 i've spend on a sound system ever. Now... If only the correct woofer as shown up as well and i'd be putting that in as well.
With that done, i'm off to install the faria depth gage- wish me luck!
