I changed the steering cable out on my 205v. Relatively easy job except I had to remove the middle floor section to pull the cable past (& back through)by the front of the . also my MCOCD kicked in and I had to clean fuel tank and the area under the floor. Now I turn the wheel with a finger as opposed to wrestling with it.

Very rewarding project. It is amazing how much nicer it is to drive with a fresh steering cable. If I even think my steering is getting stiff again I will throw in a new cable.

Sanded teak swim platform and applied coat #1 of linseed oil/mineral spirits--came out way better than expected! Mounted a 2nd battery holder behind the driver side footwell and tomorrow hope to add a battery isolator and the primary cabling, as well as muscle the Optima blue top in place. Thorough vacumuming, including the bilge. Wiped down all the hard surfaces. Rum and coke time!

Can't wait to see the finished product. Did you pressure wash and scrub the carpet before you ran the steam cleaner over it? Would like to see some before pics.

Those were when I was pretty much done. Boat was overall disgusting under the rear sac. I didn't think the rest was that dirty until I started scrubbing.
Filled a 5 gallon bucket with hot water and laundry detergent, scrubbed every inch, and then went over it with the steam cleaner. Didn't have access to a pressure washer since its in the garage. Got almost every little stain out. Very rewarding but took about 9 hours. We just finished waxing the interior this morning and it looks great.
