What Work did you do on your Mastercraft Today?

An old time Jeep guy told me about the chapstick trick, keeps the gaskets from sticking to the pot metal and you can reuse them if you have to tear it down in the future. This is the second time I tried it. I don't know if it works because I never had to tear into the first one. I also used chapstick on all of the plastic to metal contact points like the choke adjustment etc. Time will tell but I don't think it could hurt.

I am almost done with the stereo install. I am trying to figure out the best location for my perko switch. Any one mount one in a S&S. I don't really want it under the seat. It would be nice to access it while driving

It really shouldn't be accessible while driving. If you do install it where it's accessible, make sure you get one with AFD (Alternator Field Disconnect) as switching it while running could toast your alternator.

I'm installing the new starboard side ballast pump. It was the on that used to be mounted upside down on the port side.

I'm also looking at some way to put a mesh bag under port side storage locker door over the fat sac. I want to try and figure a way use the mesh to make a shelf type storage over the fat sac. I figure if I can do this then I have nice storage area that wont let stuff drop to the bottom of the locker when the bag is empty. I also wont have to worry about emptying the locker when I want to fill the sac.

Today I had some beers and cleaned the boat. We are in the high 60s and I don't see a chance a freezing again this year. I so sure of it we are going to have lunch out on the boat next Sat.

Today i took mine out for the first time! It ran great to be a 30 year old boat. Getting it back on the S&S trailer is a different story. All in all i had a good day with my MC!

I agree on the trailer design. Not too good. Assuming you have the bar that pivots up. It was always a pain depending on the steepness of the ramp.

I had a bloody mary with lunch and then started on the beers. I'm guessing about 8 by the time I did the video. lol!!

That's funny, because when guys post stuff about a first or last set in FL I'm pretty upset that I winterize the boat 2 months ago!!
