What Work did you do on your Mastercraft Today?

Finally completed rudder upgrade-if you have the older style port, newer rudder does not fit,and hole in hull has to be enlarged. Can't wait to find out if it's worth expense and labor involved.

TNPIG-it's an '89, the teak platform just bolts onto the bracket from the bottom. The bracket is very secure to the boat, never had a problem there, thank god as I wouldn't have a clue how to fix that! I take it off and put it back on easily for clean-up and oiling.

AAAaaahhhhh, SkiDog, 80 sounds like heaven right now! We didn't get enough snow today! If it's going to be cold it might as well snow so we can play in it. Trails are just okay but any road riding is bare We're still driving vehicles on our lakes up here so we try to make the best of it and hope there's a lot of snow for snowmobiling to get us through the rest of winter, to the middle of March at least. Shacknasty comes easily at this time of year! All we can do is dream. I did give a nod to my ski as I put my helmet on the shelf. Thought I saw a shiver of anticipation there, too!

Looked into the garage at it and whimpered cause its suposed to rain hard all week.

I dewinterized it today. I also started it for about 10sec without the raw water impeller in and without water hooked up. I wanted to make sure it started without a problem. It fired right up after cranking only about 3sec. Now all I need to do is finish my teak and drop the plug in and I'm ready for the lake in another few days. It's supposed to freeze one last time this weekend atleast so I'm gonna wait to get it wet until after that so I don't have to drain it again.

Let's go summer. I'm ready for it!!

What he is trying to tell you is that the teak itself screws into the brackets from the bottom. If you get under the teak you will see all the screws holding it to the brackets. To take off the teak simply remove the screws and there you go.

Now the large brackets on each side and the small angle bracket in the middle are screwed/bolted to the transom of the boat. If they are original then they are lag bolts that screw directly into the back of the boat. If these are loose, it happens, try and gently tighten them up. I usually do this on my boat before and after each launch but they rarely move. If they do not tighten and appear stripped there are several threads on this site on how to repair them for good.

rebuilt sundeck base using 3/4 inch polypropylene and upgraded to #60 gas struts. also added led's for fun since I had them in the garage

Is there an aluminum sheet covering the framework that the neoprene is adhered to? Hard to tell from the picture.

Three sheets of the expanded aluminum grating that formed the dish. Hope the neoprene will stay once some water pressure hits from tight turns. May have to swiss cheese it.
