Proof that MasterCraft and Malibu people can be friends. They had to be towed in last week and won't be back until 4th of July. Figured I'd save him some down time and had him ship the pump to me. I went down, checked fuel pressure - 35 lbs - toast, installed the pump, new fuel filter and cleaned the screen on fuel pressure regulator. Of course I had to water test and take a swim break with a coldy. Malibu fuel pumps are WAY easier to swap out than MasterCraft's in tank scenario. Whole thing took less than an hour to repair. That Malibu just doesn't look right behind my truck. However, the swim session was worth it.

Pulled the wheels today to drop off for 4x fresh Goodyear Endurance to be mounted/balanced tomorrow. Plus having the best one moved to the spare wheel.

Also peaked at the brakes. Pads all look great, so putting those plans off for a bit longer.

Of all the things I've done, my favorite has been to change out the 2 port heater to a 4 port heater from Heatercraft. I was able to have the 2 pull outs on separate ports, 1 port for drivers feet, and 1 port for a defroster for the windshield. So much better for morning runs. 2007 XStar Click image for larger version

Anyone have pictures of the OEM installed strainer on the L18 (8.1L) engine? My guess is the installs are all the same regardless of engine size but interested in location.
