              The " meat" you fresh water guys keep in between the exhaust and water passages amazes me. Salt water will diminish that clearance to dangerous levels in 5-7 years with religious flushing.

                  I switched to this model on my last boat an X-10 and I loved it. Rating is 1400#. Not sure why you would need more than that. The standard XLT is rated for 1800#. I just personally like the compact size, the grip on the handle and the look of the unit.

                    Hey Scott I believe anything over 1400lbs would be sufficient unless you are constantly cranking the boat on the trailer.
