  • I have a hydraulic filler on the right (behind the wheel on the pic) but there was no reservoir there - it's a quick check under the dash with a drinks holder to see if it would fit.

I did measure it many times before actually drilling a hole - and as I drilled the big hole from below, I was nervous as I stood up to see what it looked like from above.

The dash is quite thick, but relatively soft & easy to cut through

It was too tight for the hole cutter & drill with the windshield, so I drilled a pilot hole from the top, then used the hole cutter from underneath
Looks great. I really need to do the same. Tires and wheels holding up well?

I was going to do the same but the dash isn't totally flat and I wasn't sure how the lip of the cup holder would sit. Do they fit flat enough that the cup holders don't feel loose and looks ok?

              • Mines not totally flat either - there's a slight gap at the front, but nothing much - I plan to slightly bend the lip of the holder to eliminate it.

The fit is really tight - there's zero movement in the cup holder, but I guess that's down to having the right sized hole cutter - mine is metric so might actually be slightly undersized, not sure - but I already had it so maybe got lucky.

I'll take a picture tomorrow to show as best I can

                • Here's as bad as I could make it look - pressed fully flat at the back - so in reality, the gap is half as much.

I plan to bend the lip down slightly, just haven't gotten around to it yet.....

Based on your success, I ordered two cup holders from waterskis.com. They will be here Monday.

Are you doing one or both sides? I dunno, double fisting on a boat may be bad.

                      • Pulled it out and blew off all the tree pollen on the cover. Drained a sample of the AF and did a hydro test on it. The results should be up by tomorrow; maybe Monday if I don't get it done. I learned some things.

                        • I had only planned to do the right side - but you kind of have to keep the symmetry......

And you never know when you have to cater to a left handed beer drinker.
