    • Installed new cooling hose all the way to raw water pump and new transmission cooler. De-winterized and took her for a little spin, too windy to make it to slalom course. Today, it's 52 degrees this morning but we're just waking up from prom chaperone - no more for us!!

      • Put the new shaft back in and cleaned up a bit. Newly redone engine over with new insulation will go in this week! Wish I was not going to be out of town this weekend or else she would be getting wet!

        • Love the new shoes. Thanks Peter. I'm still working on the so called 30 min steering wheel conversion. I think I'm going on 3 hrs and 4 trips to the hardware store, mad I am.

          Can someone turn pics?

            • After all these years of sideways pics I was able to rotate it. Better?

              • Actually did it over the winter, but no pics till now. Electric over hydraulic brake install. Now my trucks built in brake controller controls trailer brakes instead of the surge from the boat.

Going to switch the big bolt over to a pin soon. Will make it look less ghetto.

Well played. That is a huge performance upgrade. I'm surprised I don't see any skin hanging from that bolt. Lol

                    • do you have a parts list?? this is a great idea.. probably more than the cost of a new actuator... but better in the long run.. nice work!

+1 you probably need to "file" that bolt.. ROFLLMAO!

                      • I put cargo nets about my rear lockers for life jackets and such so the bags don't hide them.

I'm going to replace it with a pin. Didn't already have the pin, needed to get boat back to storage, and there was a break in the weather. Just now got it back.
Yes I have parts list. Will edit this post either it.
Actuator was around 600 breakaway kit 50 new 7 way cable 60 (mine only had 5 wires in it), 24" brake line extension 20. These prices are from memory. Will edit with actual.
It makes a world of difference. I have the gain set at 4 on my truck and I can stop as fast with the boat as without.

                          • Ditched the stock manifold and gave each pump its own designated 1" thru hull. 5 min to fill/drain vs 15-20.

                            • From another thread:
By the way, you will likely have to change out your 7 way cable. Mine only had 5 wires in it and you will need all 7. I put in a ST-381-8067 CTS Marine Hydrastar™ 1600 PSI Electric/Hydraulic Actuator #MHBA-16 from trailerandtruckparts.com The actuator was $600 and the breakaway kit, 7 way cable, and other stuff cost around $100 more. I did the install myself, but our local trailer shop would have done it for $400.
