In 2011 the only Bimini was the flat one that didn't fold from MasterCraft. I found this out after I purchased the boat so the dealer had a folding one made for the boat. It works really well except for the front straps. It was even 14 inches longer than the stock bimini. I've been reading about how they redid it and added a new Bimini for the tower. I just decided to modify my exicisting one rather than get a new one.
Because this was custom made, it has 2 straps (hidden in picture). They followed the same line as the stainless steal poles but would just clip 1-2 inches more forward. The $$$ for a new Bimini (that's shorter) compared to the poles. I went with the poles. I still not too fond of the looks, but I went for functionality this time.
I got the Bimini surf sleeve and wondered if it would be too short. Just enough length in the straps to do it.
Surprising how much these hold, a full case of beer and enough ice to keep me chilled all day. Leaves room behind the cooler for lead ballast if you are looking to spread some weight around too.
First outing with my new ACME 1279. Holy S&@"t what a difference! Boat feels solid. Response is instant. Holding speed great. Boat even sounds different.
Turned 49 mph @ 5150 rpm WOT.
I'm in love.
Waterskibum, another fail. Bummer dude. I'm still waiting for something to be right.
