    • Converted to a new Springfield Seat pedestal because the stock one was shaky and the slide was broken.

      • That's a nice upgrade.

I'm glad to see that your MCOCD wouldn't let you install the new one without cleaning the floor underneath.

          MCOCD... that´s the way

The Pre-Owner was a messy guy... i could clean from now on to christmas and still would not be finished
But i think i´m on a good way and the X2 becomes a "better" shape every day.

            • That should quiet things down.

I love your boat. That is my favorite MC. Does that have the LT1?

Do you need to remove the risers and/or hoses to pull the mufflers?
Are the exhaust hoses soft wall or wire reinforced between the risers and mufflers?
Looking at a similar project and will probably replace the exhaust hoses while I'm at it. They appear to be the originals from 1996.
                  Thanks

                  • Mike, mine were soft wall (old and new) so I was able to bend the new hose today. I put just a tiny bit of grease on the one new muffler end to back exhaust hose and then slightly greased the new hose on both ends - took about 20 minutes for install. Now, the final fit and tighten took another 15-20 but put some rubber pad under both mufflers, made sure floor was a good fit. I did manage to get a water check before the rain but my engine cover was at home; got it in and attached and the clouds opened up!

                    • added bluetooth receiver to my clarion head unit....$50.00 (plus some tubing) beats $300.00 for a new head unit. Ran it from one of the blanks around the bow under the seating ( you can kind of see the tubing under the fiberglass) and then to the battery and the radio. zip tied it to the amp tubing and then cut the zip ties to make it look better. Works like a charm and now i don't have to reconnect my phone every time i shut the boat off in between passes or skiiers.

                        • 100 hour oil change

First time using a pump through the dipstick tube. Why have I not used one of these before now? Made the job easy and zero mess.

Oil flows through the tube so much easier when it is warm. Used 4 hours of surfing to prep the oil before extraction.

                            • Pulled her out of hibernation. Reattached hoses, reinstalled block plugs, put in new impeller. Fired up on fake a lake and ran for 15 mins. Batteries had not even been disconnected or tended since Sept, fired up first turn. Drained oil after running and realized my filter wrench isn’t at home and my grease gun doesn’t work. So today will be greasing rudder box and finishing oil change. Also gave her a bath and hooked up battery tender. Missing any other spring must dos?

                              • Added some MCOCD Cleats in my rear lockers for ropes & fenders. I had 4 I bought off of Alberta Surfer a couple years back, had no idea what I was going to use them for, I think this will work out nicely!

I did change my tranny fluid (244 hours) - Yes I went with RedLine Type R per the ZF recommendation in that other debate thread on tranny fluid - I could only get a little over 2.5 Qts out, so that is exactly what I put back in - yes I cleaned the metal filter
