  • When we are out in the lake swimming I like to put the flag on top of the tower for visibility. In a hurry, I had zip-tied a piece of PVC to the tower but that had to go.

The PO had screwed a plastic bimini piece to the tower so I decided to re-use the screw holes. I replaced it with stainless and added the rest for the flag holder. I had some leftover bimini parts from another project and a piece of leftover bimini tubing and put this beauty together.

    • Tackling a lot of regular maintenance and some deferred maintenance before we hit the water this season (if this wind ever stops). Oil/Filter, duh. New tires (others were 8yo (where did the time go?)), fresh lube in the oil bath hubs, raw water impeller (used one looked perfect, but replaced anyway), new ignition control module on its way (preventative), new (larger) battery isolator as the orig one needed to go ( melted post caps. New is 120AMP)....

      • Now putting in a brand new transmission. After the temporary replacement motor was in and tested, it ran perfectly but the trans was overheating. After a lot of troubleshooting, figured the filter is clogged but it's already gotten hot 3 times. Going to put in a brand new one, rebuild the old one and keep it as a spare.

Got our Fresh Air Exhaust put on a couple of weeks ago and what a difference it makes! Best upgrade we've done so far.

                • Bimini on

Put the bimini on. Forwards and backwards. Finally figured out what’s what. Sheesh. Zero adjustability so no way to lower the nose to add downforce but it works all the way to footing speeds. Wow what a difference it makes in the hot sun.

                  • Finally got around to a couple of projects today! The pin from dog house hinge had fallen out, so put that back in. My wife and I gave the boat a good mid season wash inside and out. Also, finally replaced the “t” that was torn off last summer (thinking it was a bumper/dock issue when my dad went for a ride). That was an expensive letter, ha! I was hoping to get around to hooking up blue tooth adapter, but ran out of time, and I’m nervous, ha!

                    • Couldn’t find a working extension cord in Grandads barn, but I found 5 power strips. Most protected power my boat ever had. [emoji849]

Where did you get the Replacement " T " from .
One of mine was slightly damaged by previous owner . MCOCD tells me to fix it.

I had to purchase the whole side from the dealership, ugh! $250 later, I replaced 1 letter that was about 50% missing. Like you, my Slowly building MCOCD couldn’t take it anymore. There was a lady on the Facebook group selling her spare letters, but she ghosted me twice, so that’s when I sucked it up and ordered it...

$250 US that's not bad for the whole thing . The only one I found to match mine was I believe $3000.00 cdn.

                              • I discovered that 9 of the 16 lag bolts that hold my trailer bunks in place had fallen out. The remaining 6 were barely doing their job. The original bolts were 5/16”. Fortunately the trailer holes will accept a 3/8” lag bolt so I was able to replace them and get a fresh bite on the wood. Next year I’ll replace the bunks completely but this fix should get me thru the season.
