Yes sir!! UV resistant, won't harm threads, actually penetrates the vinyl, and has a low luster. I usually spray it on the applicator for tight areas around the dash but spray it directly to seats and engine cover.

The early 90’s vinyl was pretty good stuff too. Assuming you take care of it.

Having owned boats manufactured through the 70's, 80s, 90s, 00s, and teens I would agree with this statement. 70s and 80s were not bad but the use of wood in any interior made for interior problems regardless of the quality of the vinyl. The 90s added rotocast plastic to interior structure components (seat bases, combing pad backing, etc.) and whatever environment destroying elements they used to create the vinyl back then certainly did the job. I had a 90 TriStar and a 95 MariStar an both interiors did very well.

The very late 90s and early 2000s sucked. Not unusual to see a 200 hour 5 boat with seams splitting. I've heard all kinds of reasons why they were so bad but regardless if you see an interior from this time frame it either needs to be replaced or has been replaced on all but the very few boats out there. My 07 X2 interior was still in good shape when I sold it last year but the big problem I saw with interiors in this time frame was the kiss of death pink mold or the less fatal grey mold that would appear anywhere the cover laid on the vinyl.

Thank you, MCOCD and Lexol Vinylex - I've been singing praises on Lexol Vinylex for decades but 303 and others still get more "air time" but the proof is the pictures. BTW, my 94 28' Harris Floatboat has the original carpet and original vinyl as well and you can still "pinch" the vinyl on both.

This stuff has been out on the market for nearly 30 years ?

LOL, I've been using it since 94 . I got it's praises from the Porsche forums and have used it ever since.

Can you explain your process with the metal polish on the tower? I've got some similar looking spots and haven't been able to clean them up. May give this a try, that looks great!

Custom storage tray for our 2018 XT22

Took a whole Day to clean the X2 from all the dust an dirt of the Winterpause.
Battery is loaded, carpet is cleaned und the tower was cleared of dead flies

Ended up with cutting a Plastic Plate for a Bow filler wich is at the Upholstery now.

Looks a little whiter than it is because my girlfriend took it with instagram

New upgrade from Erb's Tarp Shop (Ohio) for the X14. The new cover is "Top Gun" material and includes
- Extra reinforcement for towing with poles (if desired)
- Duel ratchet strap below rub rail
- Gas cap access (2)
- Cleat access (4)
- Socks and strings around each tower leg
I also had them add a bow cover made of Sunbrella.
They do great work. Second boat and bow cover from them and no disappointment.

That looks great Double D! My Dad had a cover made for his fishing boat by Erb, it was nice, but I never figured they did custom work like that for a MC. Never been real happy with my cover, now you've got me thinking... What was the turn-around time?
