Put XM in boat. Love it. I want to do a valve job on 1700 hours 93 351, are any of you hesitant to the fact that you should never do the top end without doing the bottom end? Kids are gone and we don't run wide open anymore... Thoughts Waterlogged?

    • If you are taking the time to rebuild the top end, why not freshen up the whole thing? You are going to be there, might as well do it.

      Just my 2 pennies.

        New Spark Plugs
        New Distributor Rotor and Cap
        New Belt
New Impeller and Water Pump Seal
        New Knock Sensor Plugs
New J house (metal vs rubber)

While I was in there, I also gave the engine a detail by polishing all the pulleys, touching up some paint, adding rubber covers to all the hose clamp ends and putting an aluminum pulley on the alternator. Most probably would not even notice the difference, but my OCD is satiated for a little while.

        Hey Sodar, looks great!!!

Would love to know where you got the metal J Hose???

HAHA. Not sure what you are saying about the Metal J-Hose, but if you are accusing me of a dent, I politely tell you to pound sand. The hose is formed in 2 pieces and that is where they join.

As for the T-clamps.... I actually had the thought, but then got to looking at size and quantity and decided against it. I did buy a 10 pack of Breeze clamps to match factory at the locations where added fittings had been installed.

I got everything from Bakes Marine. They have been awesome for the Indmar stuff.

How do you like the RnC with the lever out the front? Is it easily accessible with the winch line? I wrote them an email yesterday on which version would work on my trailer and have yet to hear back.

Man I absolutely love it!! Works so much better than the boat buddy I had on there!! Haven’t have any issues with the clamp getting on the way, I have just enough room.
