"Did you're flex plate fail or preventative winter maintenance? New one looks nice."

No I just thought it was about time almost 1000 hours on it. I have owned it since 280 hours.

todays job clean the trans mounts up so the alignment goes smooth and stuffed the trans back in.

Still some more work to do. I tend to clean more than reinstall.

      • Managed to remove the old Clarion remote (without removing the driver's side panel) and installed a new Fusion remote. Not bad for a guy that wears a short coat. I'm not exactly blessed with long, thin arms.

          • It's been a few weeks in the making. I decided that having a FAE (fresh air exhaust) negated the need for a space consuming and frustration inducing muffler. I got ahold of the good folks at FAE and had them build me some straight pipes with baffles in them. They said the baffles weren't necessary unless I didn't have a FAE or exhaust flaps. I saw a Malibu last summer lose its FAE so I decided to add baffles "just in case."

It's ridiculous how much space I have back there now. I can't wait to change my raw water impeller. I imagine it will be just like heaven.

Removing and installing was a bit of a trick. Some silicone spray and a plastic automotive trim removal tool really helped move things along (no pun intended).

                    • Rebuilding the transmission in my 94 this weekend. Gonna take a bit longer then I expected. The clutch drum ring gear is toast so I'll have to order a new one.

My list isn't quite this extensive, but 'Lake' assisted in a big project yesterday. New Faria gauges, new sending unit, and greased rudder yesterday. I have a new amp to drive my woofer, bunk gator backs on order, and new temp sending unit on order.

                        Behold, the new gauges.

                        Thanks Lake, you da man!
