  • Need to replace the prop on mine, too damn hot and humid up here to get it done during the day. At night the Minnesota state bird, mosquitoe, will either carry you away or suck you dry...

      • Teakguard from Allguard (not the other, horrible "Teak Guard"). The sun washes out the image, but damn, it looks nice.

            • Tightened my alternator belt and watched my amp gauge go to 13.5 volts, where it is supposed to! Got THAT worry off my mind of a bad alternator.

              • I replaced the Raycor fuel/water separator filter, fuel pump filter and checked the carb fuel line screen. Applied vinyl patch to a couple of small tears in upholstery.

                Checked gap/alignment at transmission/prop shaft.

Slowly knocking out some basic maintenance on my 'new-to-me' '89 - when I'm not on the water enjoying her

                • Poured 20 gallons of gas in it and didn't even get to take it out. Bad part is that it still wasn't full.
Being on the water is best, but when I'm not on the water I'm on TT.

                  • redid the side bunks, cut carpet to get ready to do the bottom four bunks, bought a new roller for the bottom, bought a new pin for my prop for when i get it back, put in new fuel sensor, made homemade pole to go from my winshield to my ski pilon to keep my cover up.

                    • Looked for a short that was blowing the fuse for my trailer lights. First I replaced the fuse and it instantly blew a second one. So I took all the lights out and then checked for continuity between power and ground on all trailer plug leads. All read zero so I replaced all the lights and the fuse and it worked. I must have scared all those pesky electrical gremlins into hiding where they will wait to the most in-opertune time to reappear and I will again have no marker lights.

                        • Diagnosed an intermittently faulty ignition switch. 5 volts at the coil doesn't quite cut it. Failed at 34 years - I figured it would have been good for 50

                            • I black spray painted the center of the trailer wheels and left the lips metal. I think it came out great and cost $3 for a rattle can from home depot.
