What are friends for....
Ordered a new anchor buddy line and an anchor.
Took another family to Lake Eufaula this weekend, told him to attach the line and then throw the anchor towards the private dock about 60' away. We were stopping to watch the Wakeboard contest. I anchored the front and he tossed it off the back.
Yep, I heard a splash and then an awkward silence. ( the kids got real quite ). I knew then that he had thrown the anchor without tieing the line to the boat....
Depth gauge said 10'. but the water was so murkey....
Lesson learned. I ordered a couple of 6" buoy balls and will tie those to the non anchor end of the line so I can at least have a chance at recoverying the gear, if it ever happens again.
Otherwise a great weekend ( except for the Heat )

After a two-week vacation with the boat in the water the whole time, waterspots were awful and boat needed a little love. Just finished completely cleaning the inside, and bought some Babe's products for the waterspots and the wax/polish. First time using these products and they worked magic--looks like it just came off the showroom floor. Highly recommend Babe's....
