        • Unhitched it from the truck and pulled the cover on before I took the kids to school.

Post vacation cleaning... and vac. Put it back in the garage (which has a dehumidifier) and put a fan above it to dry it out...

            • What are friends for....

Ordered a new anchor buddy line and an anchor.

Took another family to Lake Eufaula this weekend, told him to attach the line and then throw the anchor towards the private dock about 60' away. We were stopping to watch the Wakeboard contest. I anchored the front and he tossed it off the back.

Yep, I heard a splash and then an awkward silence. ( the kids got real quite ). I knew then that he had thrown the anchor without tieing the line to the boat....

Depth gauge said 10'. but the water was so murkey....

Lesson learned. I ordered a couple of 6" buoy balls and will tie those to the non anchor end of the line so I can at least have a chance at recoverying the gear, if it ever happens again.

Otherwise a great weekend ( except for the Heat )

                • GoFast, how did you mount the flag to your tower? I want to do something similar.

                  • Mine is tigg welded to the tower. I have a custom made tower. Did not have the choices when I did the tower that are out thier today. Makes it much easier for our friends to find us on the lake.

                    • Added Overton's retractable transom straps to my trailer. I'm using these along with soft-tie web loops behind the platform to the lifting brackets. Gives me some peace of mind when trailering

                            • After a two-week vacation with the boat in the water the whole time, waterspots were awful and boat needed a little love. Just finished completely cleaning the inside, and bought some Babe's products for the waterspots and the wax/polish. First time using these products and they worked magic--looks like it just came off the showroom floor. Highly recommend Babe's....

Yes, I was unable to cup the nuts. Actually, my deck comes down really close to the hull in my anchor compartment. Can't fit my hand under there past mid-palm. Fishing bolts up through the bottom was the only way to do the front eight bolts (for now). A proper, overkill, stainless insert setup is in the mail. I'll redo this Winter so people won't be starring at or potentially stepping on my nuts.
