Well it's still above 100* outside and I finally got fed up with how dirty the boat barn floor was. I pulled the boat out and swept the floor and cleaned it up a bit. Nothing like working in a metal building with nothing but a fan and it's 100*+ outside.

Woke up at 4:30 a.m. Couldn't get back to sleep, laying there thinking about my f'd up stereo. Finally got out of bed at 0500, went down to the garage, climbed into the boat with a flashlight, and crawled under the dash to look at how my amps are wired up. Still confused, went upstairs, got on the computer and tried to find Clarion installation manuals online with no success. Gave up, got ready to go to work.

Bummer Shep! I hate those nights. I spent last night trying to figure out why my subwoofer amp keeps blowing fuses. So we removed it and installed a cheap amp my Son had laying around. Hooked it all up and then that amp acted the same way, except instead of blowing fuses, it fried a chip!!

So we then figured it, crazy idea, might be the speaker... So we hooked up the old amp, with a new fuse, and my Son's "NEW" 12" woofer and it worked great!! Now today I need to go buy a new woofer (10"), and tonight I need to re-install the old amp and hook it all back up..... Then I can thump a bit this weekend at The Buckeye Bash II

Ugh, hate that. I frequently have stuff on my mind that works against me at bed time. I've started keeping a little note pad in my nightstand. I find that if wake up or can't get to sleep I write myself a little note. Something simple like "look at amp wiring". It seems to clear my mid and let me sleep. Works for me, ymmv

Took my perfect pass stargazer master module apart and used a chip to reprogram with the newer software. Then I reset my baselines.

The boat engages so much better and I think it skis smoother.

Interesting. I woke up roughly the same time and got dressed and was headed to the truck to go drive 45 minutes to go work on my boat. When I got to the truck I realized that nothing was wrong with my boat and it was just a dream.

My dream was that I sent a rod through the side of my block again. I had this terrible sick feeling and got dressed. Once at my truck and realizing it was just a dream I went back inside and went back to sleep. I slept great after that.

Installed a flag holder to the tower. Was tired of the suction cup method on the front of the tower speaker. Plus my daughter threw the suction cup overboard last weekend...grrr...so I had to do something different. I really like this and should be more accessible too.

Put two new batteries in and took a ski!

replaced the hookup on my towerspeakers, and cleaned the inside.

Drained the oil out of my boat and left it draining over night.

Gunna add oil and filter later this week.

Also re wired my trailer Saturday.

Also going to change the transmission fluid.

my neighbors' X has been in the shop all season (cracked block) so he got tired of not having a boat and the dealer gave him a used one for this past weekend.

I get to drive this loner boat (yellow XStar, short one) and within 10 minutes the whole throttle comes apart in my hand, while driving. I kept cramming it back on, it would come off, cram it back on...finally I told the neighbor its time to call it a day or we stop and try to fix it.

The boat had many issues and the dealer was trying to sell it (the neighbor did mention the dealer was working on the throttle when he picked it up) Niiiice.

saturday i changed the starter, changed oil and filter and put in a drainplug with a hose, washed out the bilge, replaced raw water impeller, replaced both batteries, wired the anchor light on my new tower, pressure washed the carpet, replaced bilge blower and hose, lubed steering cables and rudder box, installed new alpine stereo and a new amp and am getting ready to put in the second amp and run wires through the tower for speakers.

it was a full day
