          • Seized drain plug on starboard exhaust manifold is turning into quite a little project.

Good thing I have all winter.

            Making progress.

After EZ-Out failed to work and got stuck, pulled manifold last night, thankfully went very easy.

Off to machine shop to get it drilled out and re tapped, I think.

edit: the ezout looks funny and angled because it's flopping around in hole. It was straight and true while working on it. After no dice with 1/2 breaker bar, a 1/2 impact gun caused it to thread in and spin.

            • Put some anti-seize on that plug when you replace it...

              • I had problems with mine last year. I was able to chase the threads then I installed 1/4 turn valves in them, no more pulling a plug for winter.

                • My knock sensor would not go back in, after pulling it the first winter I had it - it appeared that the PO had not put it back in correctly, threads on the bolt were pretty messed up. Fortunately I was able to rethread it sufficiently with a dye.

This year, I left it in place, and ran antifreeze through instead of draining.

                  • I pulled it out of the driveway and put it in the street so I could change the oil in my truck............then put it back where it was. Dang exciting.

                      • Pulled the drain plugs yesterday because I'm not ready to give up, take it off the lift, and winterize yet, but the overnight temps can get below freezing these days.

                        • Started on my winter projects already.

Removed the swim step brackets today so I can install the drop down brackets.
