Biminia Top - OEM or Offbrand?

I am in need of a bimini top for my 2007 P/S214. Anyone have an opinion regarding purchasing an off-brand product for a self-install versus purchasing the MasterCraft Bimini with dealer install? Cost difference is about $400 versus $1,000 respectively.

you could go to a canvas shop and have one made to the OEM spec....

I can't see paying OEM price for a bimini. I think it's flat out nuts, being that you can get the same thing about anywhere. They are simple to install.

Had really good experience on a friends boat with a bimini purchased from Overtons. Measure and then order your size. Easy install, looks great and still looks brand new after three years of use.

Same here, and it's been fine, no fade, for the last 8 years or so

I purchased one of the cheesy ones (dont remember the company) for my '94 205 for maybe $300. It worked perfectly. I guess it depends on your tolerance of functionality versus aesthetics.

I've got a year left on my warranty...any concerns of voiding that if I install it myself?

I need Bimini for 84 s+s with extended pylon any suggestions?

Overtons. Sunbrella. Measure and install yourself. You will have to sew in a zipper for the extended pylon or have a canvas shop do it. Shouldn't cost but a few dollars more.
