Filled it up with a fly high pump for illustration purposes. Kinda annoys me..
Although my son had fun with his toy boat I checked the one way valve and it was clean and clear. Possibly a poor design.

The water should just drain into the bilge area. I have used a hose to wash down the interior floor and it always just drained for me.

Nope. It drains out of the boat via transom, mid way of the hose is a one/way valve that directed all over the place dodging the bell housing and motor mounts. I wish there where a cleaner path , o well. Really is the only flaw I found with the boat at 200hrs.
Minus the ZFT4 don't get me started in the thing, huge waste of money. Works maybe 5% of the time.. If you order a boat go with the new ZFT2 . I think that's the new swoop style with Manual levers..

This makes no sense, that drain should go directly into the bilge!

Do you mean go with the ZFT4 vs. the ZFT5 power tower? The ZFT4 has the swoop with the manual levers. I like mine alot.

Salt Water Series X-25s have self bailing cockpits. All others bail into the bilge. You do not want salt water pouring all over your transmission and fuel pump.

Limit switch, broken spring, bad actuator , let's see what else. Works 50% of the time....
