    You could try "bedding it" like a rifle action.

    Essentially applying some release agent around the pylon (wax) then injecting the area with some form of durable epoxy, then installing and lightly tensioning the pylon, once cured you should be able to tighten everything up, and even remove the pylon with that thin layer of reinforced glass.

        I thinking about fabricating a custom lower bracket, any idea where I can get a existing 1986 lower bracket? Hope the stringers are the same width and I can just install, otherwise it's just a piece of L steel with the U bolt, and bracketed to stringers.... Any concern with this idea?
