  • 1991 ProStar 200 Refresh

Found this 1991 ProStar 200 Locally on Craigslist. They where asking $7500 got it for $6900. It looks like it was taken care of cosmetically but neglected as far as cleaning and waxing stand point. Came with **** pit cover and full trailer cover. There is not much dock rash and know gelcoat chips. Here is what the boat looks like when I picked it up.

Here is what I have done so far
Lengthened trail plug the car wire because it was only sticking out from under the tongue six inches.

Stripped all the pin stripping from the boat and motor so I can sand and buff the whole boat because it is all faded.

Bought all new clear LED lights for the trailer. Buffed the sides of the fenders out before I put lights in. Had to rewire the center light because it has a running light, brake light and left and right turn lights.

Had to order a new master cylinder for the brakes. It was bone dry and all rusted on the inside. Took it all apart and tried cleaning it up but it was a pitted on the inside where the piston is. Should be here tomorrow $52.00

Took the rear platforms off when I took all the pin stripping off. Decided to sand blast all the brackets and base coat cleat coat them. Also sanded up all the teak and refinished them. Just got finished with them tonight.

That's looking good! Sounds like you got a solid deal on that sucker! Looks like a case of MCOCD.

Was curious what you found when you removed pin stripes. I heard that sometimes they were used to help cover imperfections in gel seams. Did you see any of that?
