ya when i bought the boat i found it odd but didnt really pay much attention to it. i love the fact that it can raise really high enough so that my whole head can be over the wind shield if i want. it swivels and locks into place like it should.

does everything i would want it to do but god the base is so ugly haha. thanks for the links to bases im gonna look around my main thing is making sure my seat can attached to whatever base i can find.

minors moss should be here today to the mock up process will begin

As far as the old carpet im gonna get the minors moss to fit how i want. Then probably start the process. Definitely not looking forward to that part of the project but yes i will probably scrape what glue i can then sand it down so its smooth.

So i got to work friday when the minors moss arrived. It was rolled up and proved to be a pain to get to flattin out.

I layed it out best i could and used anything heavy and flat around the garage to help get it flat.

Seems were hard to do i ended up only sewing a few spots... ( i got lazy )

I still have a little work to do but over all im pretty happy with it for only a few hundred bucks.... u can kinda see the seems but oh well. I hope when it warms up the matt will flatin out more.over time.

Heres some.photos i snapped along the way.

        Looks nice

Do you think it's possible embed snaps in the material?

Snaps would be no problem. I actually already bought them. Once i remove the carpet ill install them.

Looks great. Going to unroll mine tomorrow so it can flatten out. If you figure out a easy way to remove the glue post it up

When I installed new carpet in my boat, I used a thick gel stripper to get the glue off. I wouldn't suggest sanding it, as it's gel coat and you would destroy it. It makes a toxic mess, but cleans up easily and leaves no residue. Wear nitrile gloves too, not latex!

It is more that likely black.

Currently about to order this stuff but I'm not home for another 2 weeks to measure my 2001 x30. Anyone on here care to give me some dimensions?
